Upcoming gigs

I have two exciting gigs coming up this month. On Friday the 18th of September I will be performing an acoustic set in the Channel Building cafe as part of the 'Maggies Night Hike'. Then on friday the 25th I will be with the full band at The Music Palace in north london. Hope to see you there!

The Chapel Bar Gig

Hi all, thanks to everyone who made it down to The Chapel Bar last week especially considering the English downpour and special thanks to the Eastbourne ladies. Thought I'd share this picture with you of myself and Sam Lawrence, a great friend and musician. We were performing Sunday She Fell with special guest Wolfe Hogan on violin, the first time I've performed this song live. I had a great time!

Rehearsals

Good evening...sorry it's been so long since I last wrote a blog. I just wanted to thank you for your support. It is very important to me. We have delayed the downloads as we are maximising it, to make sure that it is as successful as it can be, and I'm doing everything I can to speed it up. I am also trying to get each one of you a free sneak preview of the album, should know more very soon! Back to the music and things are a lot of fun right now. Been rehearsing with a few musicians for some up coming gigs.

Great night out

I thought it was time I went out and heard some new music and of course have a laugh with a few friends so I headed over to the Luminaire in Kilburn, haven't been there since I played there about 4 years ago. I really like the venue a lot, and I'm so pleased I did as it was a great night for the music. First on was VV BROWN http://www.vvbrown.com/ and I loved her! Really catchy 60's girl group stuff. Had myself a little boogie.

A womans work is never done

So today is finally relaxing, the night is moving in for a cuddle, the red sofa is calling (must get around to showing you it sometime, wrote a lot of the album there) in fact, here it is , and I'm having a beer. It was a really long day. My daughter was sick and we spent the day on, guess where, the red sofa. I have spent so much time here and if I'm honest sometimes I feel like I'm part of it!

Daffodils

So last night I stuffed my face with the most amazing Italian food at my friends place 'Lena'. It was my husbands birthday and a chance to catch up with some of our best friends.Feel a bit in need of the gym today though!Thinking of joining a running club with some women who live in my area (will let you know if that just remains in my head).

Big Bad Crow

So went back to hampstead today to redo the little film for my site, pouring with rain, big crow still stalking me, and I swear its the same crow from friday! Popped into Soho to get the tape put on to DVD. Soho felt empty, London feels broke, not a latte in sight! I think its time you all heard the full version of 'Harry Krishna Boy'! Cheers me right up! I promise you steps are being taken every day, they feel like pigeon ones, but I assure you, I've got my heels on and I'm ready to go!!! Maybe I'll pop on Kylies! Did I tell you I was given a pair from her last tour? No?

Sunshine please!

I would like some sunshine please! I'm ready for spring! Anyone with a toddler knows its not great being stuck in the house all day when all you both want to do is get outside and play!

Filmed a little video on saturday but reckon the lighting wasn't great so doing it again in the morning and really looking forward to it, using one of my favourite songs. Just about to make a wicked sunday roast then gonna spend the evening in the studio, wrote a bit of a new tune last night (in the garden at my friends house) think I can remember it!

Lets get it on

So here we are! The album is so nearly out there and I cant wait! Yesterday I was in the studio with Roger Taylor (of QUEEN no less), down at his place in Surrey. The snow was nearly a meter deep down there and looked amazing (the Uk had its biggest snowfall in 18 years!). We lay down some drums for JARVIS, and I know its going to be one of my favourite tracks on the album. Wait til you hear these drums!
